Peter Pannu assures that Business is as usual at St. Andrew’s

The 2011/12 football season is arriving soon and Birmingham City is busy preparing for this. The acting chairman for the team, Peter Pannu has declared that it is business as usual, and the club although relegated from the Premier League is tackling the ‘financial realities’ of this. Mr Pannu made his statement through the club website, wishing to put fans at ease. Midlands escorts are glad to see the club preparing for the new season and hope they manage under the financial strain of being relegated.
Pannu made it clear on the club website that they have made several plans to deal with the difficulties they have encountered, even though the sponsor’s “legal wrangles” poses some problems. Pannu said “Our bankers have been very supportive and we currently still stand in a positive credit balance with them. When we talk about offloading players, we will consider players on Premier League wages as this is not a sustainable scenario for a Championship Club”.
Pannu would be happy to retain all of the club’s star players but he says this is not a realistic option. He says the club would also be happy to acknowledge the request of players to play Premier League football but only if this is a financial option. Pannu then goes on to say “I wish to assure supporters that what we are addressing is no more and no less than what a prudently managed club would do.”
It is believed that this reassurance from the acting chairman is aimed at appeasing disappointed fans and encouraging support for the season ahead. Relegation from the premiership is always a very difficult event for any club to deal with and immediate promotion back to the premiership is seen as vital from both a financial and sporting point of view.
